Vergola® is a complete outdoor liveability system. Engineered in Australia for over 40 years, awarded for its design, and built to outlast everything else on the market.
When fully open, a Vergola® lets in more natural light than any other adjustable louvre roof. Bright when you want it, shaded when you don't.
Interlocking aerofoil louvres close into a sealed roof, with a smart rain sensor that shuts them automatically at the first drop.
Unique double-skin aerofoil louvres create an insulating air gap, regulating temperature better than any single-skin aluminium system.
Adjust your louvres anywhere from fully open to fully closed. Operate up to eight bays individually or automatically with the touch of a button.
Designed for cyclone-strength winds and engineered to Australian standards AS1562 and AS1170.2. Tested across every climate zone.
Vergola® is the only louvre roof system to win the Prince Philip Prize for Australian Design, plus three Australian Design Council awards for innovation.
From courtyards to poolside, alfresco kitchens to second-storey decks. Every Vergola® is custom-built to your home, your space and your style.
Real installations. Real customers. Real Australian homes.
We recently had a Vergola installed at our home and we couldn’t be happier with the end result, even though it was a long process. I considered two other companies and am happy I went with Vergola.

Yes. The automatic louvres rotate up to 165 degrees so you can set any angle of sun or shade. Each bay adjusts individually, so multiple-bay installations can have different areas set to different angles.
The remote can be hand-held or wall-mounted. It connects to a concealed control box with a backup battery that keeps things running during power cuts. A rain sensor closes the louvres at the first drops of rain, and can be deactivated, though it reactivates automatically after an hour.
Yes. The double-skinned louvres provide thermal insulation and sound reduction, helping reduce heating and cooling costs by controlling direct sunlight on windows and walls.
Flat, pitched or gabled, freestanding or attached to a building. Bays can be mixed with other roof coverings or set at different orientations to suit the space.
There is no size limit. Each bay can be up to 6 by 3.6 metres, and a single remote controls up to 8 bays. Larger systems use multiple controllers.
Almost anything: outdoor and indoor furniture, kitchens, pools, barbecues, play areas, carports and more. Remember it is still an outdoor space, so dust, leaves and moisture can get in. Discuss gas radiant heaters with the team first, as minimum clearances apply.
Yes, we have our own experienced Vergola designers, and architects and interior designers are increasingly familiar with the product.
Once the support framework is complete, roughly one day per bay plus one extra day. A single-bay system takes about 2 days and a three-bay system about 4 days. Larger or complex jobs may take longer.
Under normal conditions, including steady rain, a closed Vergola keeps rain out as the louvres overlap. It is rain-proof but not fully waterproof, so low-angle high-pressure water can get through, and it cannot match a fixed tiled roof in severe weather.
It is very sensitive and closes the louvres at the first sign of moisture, similar to automatic car windscreen wipers. It can be over-ridden for cleaning or to let rainwater through to plants, with a warning light showing when disabled.
The system has integrated guttering that drains rainwater away through pipes. If runoff from an existing roof falls onto the Vergola, you may need additional guttering on that roof.
Vergolas were designed for harsh Australian conditions including cyclonic winds, and comply with Australian standards AS1562 and AS1170.2. Unlike canvas or fabric covers, they will not rip, tear or flap.
Clear any snow or ice before operating the louvres. If heavy snow is forecast, leave the louvres open to avoid load problems.
Yes. Many Australian installations are on absolute waterfronts. If exposed to direct salt spray, wash it down with fresh water weekly or after a heavy storm.
Patented aerofoil-shaped louvres made in Australia from COLORBOND® steel. Bearings have no moving parts for years of near maintenance-free operation. Guttering is made locally from COLORBOND® or BlueScope Zincalume.
A range of COLORBOND® colours including Surfmist, Classic Cream, Paperbark, Shell Grey, Woodland Grey and the metallic Cosmic finish. Custom colours are available via powder-coating, though warranty terms differ.
Gently hose it down, or mop with car body detergent for bird droppings and debris. Switch the rain sensor off first. Over sensitive areas, set louvres vertical and clean both sides with a damp mop on a pole.
Essentially none. Replace remote batteries periodically, clear the integral gutters if sand or leaves build up, and keep the rain sensor free of debris. Motors and control systems are sealed and maintenance-free.
